ADD: The new top image has a flowing tartan; everything else is unchanged.
Here's your design with finishing effects, along with some closeups for detail. The first image is of the logo to be used for all things; with the outer ring. The second image is what the drumhead will look like without the outer ring. The orange background is warmed-up with a striated texture that looks somewhat wooden, and the beveled shamrock lies over it, with a subtle rough texture. The tartan-shield is embedded into the shamrock setting. We left the trim in the police blue, accented with gold edging. The tartan is clear and formal. The lion, banner and outer letters are in a similar soft gold. The knotwork, although small, is a complex element that came off beautifully.
